Here we witness the fusion of popular culture and nature. The neoclassical church is a required visit, just like the restored 18th-century mill. What will most catch your eye, however, is the set of hay bales covered in reddish plaster which dominate the town and the countless dry stone huts that are scattered throughout. Of these, Barraca Grande, or big hut, is the finest example. For those who prefer getting in touch with nature, in addition to the riparian woodlands that follow the river Turia, we can also take a trip to the Sierra Tortajada mountain, which forms part of the Javalambre range, and which is home to some interesting forested areas and monumental oaks.
