Bread Museum and traditional oven

This is one of the best-preserved buildings in the region, equipped with an old bread oven, which reveals to us how they used live, transporting us to the past. The structure has been converted into a small interpretation centre where we can find out how the women in the hamlet took the dough out of the trough, making the sign of the cross while they recited, “this dough is kneaded and in the hands of the virgin delivered.”
Nowadays, the bread isn’t personalised with the stamp or mark of each family, but you can still see the smoke-stained ceiling of the bakery which used to be the scene of spatulas and aprons, laughter and troughs, wisdom and prophecy.
